Chapter 105: You Have No Shame!

Although Bai Qingming had no idea what prostate care actually entailed, he still resolutely declined the female therapist’s offer. To clarify, it wasn’t because he feared getting caught in a police crackdown on illicit activities. It was simply because he was, at heart, a man of integrity who valued his own purity. That was all there was to it.
After the massage, Bai Qingming told Lao Wang about the incident and asked if he knew what prostate care was. Lao Wang was visibly taken aback after hearing the explanation.
“Why have I never heard of such a thing when I came here before?” he muttered, clearly upset.
Of course, Lao Wang knew what prostate care was. But why had no therapist ever mentioned it to him? Was it because they thought he couldn’t afford it?
Bai Qingming fell silent, feeling he might have said something he shouldn’t have. Yet then, Lao Wang suddenly looked enlightened. He realized it was because he was a decent man, and such services were only offered to those who were not. That made perfect sense.
Comforted by this self-assurance, Lao Wang’s mood lifted considerably.
After settling the bill, the two men stepped out of the Red Romance Bathhouse. They had barely taken a few steps when Lao Wang suddenly stopped. He patted himself down, wore a worried expression, and said to Bai Qingming, “You go ahead. Don’t worry about me—I think I left something inside. I’ll go back and get it.”
Without another word, Lao Wang turned and re-entered the bathhouse.
To be honest, he had no ulterior motives. It was just a whim—a curiosity to see what the 998-yuan package was really like. He’d heard it included some exotic services with names like “Poison Dragon Drill” and “Ice and Fire Dual Sensation.”
Lao Wang was uneducated and unsophisticated, so he simply wanted to satisfy his curiosity. Purely to see, nothing else.
That was all.
In the dead of night, Bai Qingming’s phone suddenly rang. But when he answered, a serious, unfamiliar voice came through.
“Hello, are you a friend of Wang Lidui?”
Bai Qingming was startled but quickly replied affirmatively. “Yes, that’s me. Who’s this?”
“I’m from Jiangcheng Police Station. During a raid tonight, we caught your friend in the act. He said he has no family, only you as a good brother. Please come by to pay his fine.”
The caller hung up immediately.
Bai Qingming was stunned for a long moment, then couldn’t help but smirk.

The next day.
A new day began.
After a lazy morning, Bai Qingming started his livestream. To be honest, he hadn’t been very active during the recent college entrance exams, but the stream’s popularity hadn’t diminished in the slightest.
The chat was flooding with messages.
“The spiritual leader is finally live! My happiness has returned.”
“To be honest, I love watching the Bachelor Godfather’s streams. I used to be uneducated and uncultured. My friends always said I was an honest guy. Ever since I accidentally stumbled into this stream, it’s like a whole new world opened up. I’ve learned what ‘seeds’ are, what Baidu Cloud links mean, and even picked up the term ‘making friends out of thin air.’ So much knowledge here—learning never stops.”
“Excuse me, can I ask something? I just came from my friend’s birthday party where an eighty-year-old man suddenly died at noon. The old man was born in the Year of the Tiger, and so is my friend. Does anyone know if this means anything?”
“It means there’s a banquet tomorrow!”
“Awesome! Can I go to the banquet? I want to sit at the kids’ table.”
“I’ll sit with the village widows’ table.”
The viewers were as playful and mischievous as ever, spouting endless witty remarks.
Bai Qingming had already planned today’s livestream content.
“Brothers, let me show you a message I just received.”
He picked up his phone, brought it in front of the camera, and showed the viewers a message from an unknown number he had gotten earlier that morning.
It was right after the college entrance exams, and the sender claimed they could check scores early and even alter them for a price.
Bai Qingming had seen this kind of scam many times before.
He thought, why not turn this into a livestream lesson on how to spot scams?
“Brothers, let’s call this scammer and see what’s going on.”
He dialed the number.
After a couple of rings, someone answered.
“Hello, this is Master Zhang’s fortune-telling shop. I’m Master Zhang.”
The voice was middle-aged. Bai Qingming was puzzled.
Why a fortune teller?
“Sorry, wrong number. I’m looking for someone who can check and change scores.”
He was about to hang up when the other party stopped him.
“Don’t hang up! I’m exactly the person you’re looking for.”
“Really? You’re a fortune teller who can check and alter scores?”
Bai Qingming was surprised. A fortune teller moonlighting as a scammer? Cross-industry side hustle? It didn’t make sense.

“It’s true. I used to work in the Education Bureau handling admissions, but then I inherited my family’s fortune-telling business,” the man explained.
For some reason, hearing this gave Bai Qingming a bad feeling.
“How do you check the scores? Can you explain?”
“Of course, by divination!” came the reply.
Bai Qingming was dumbfounded.
No way—they actually use fortune telling to predict exam scores!
Doesn’t that conscience hurt?
Suppressing the urge to curse, Bai Qingming asked again, “How much do you charge?”
“Five thousand yuan to check scores, twenty thousand to change them.”
“That expensive?”
Bai Qingming was even more shocked.
“That’s not expensive. After all, these are college entrance exam scores—they affect your whole life,” the man said earnestly.
Bai Qingming thought for a moment. “How about I pay one thousand yuan—one fifth of the price?”
“One fifth?”
The man was baffled. So were the viewers in the chat, who didn’t understand Bai Qingming’s meaning.
But the scammer wasn’t about to let even a thousand yuan slip away.
“One fifth is fine. Which subject do you want? I’ll give you an account; send me the money first.”
Bai Qingming smiled.
“You misunderstood. I’m not asking which subject. One fifth means you calculate what my total score will be, then divide it by five and tell me. That’s all.”
The chat exploded.
“That’s allowed?”
“Streamer, you’re a genius.”
“I’ll pay five yuan—can he figure out one-thousandth of my score?”
“I’ll pay with a pack of spicy strips…”
The viewers burst out laughing.
The person on the other end was at a loss for words. After a long pause, he finally said, “You’re shameless!”
…
