Three full days had passed since the defeat of Greeza. It was thanks to Yao Hui, Z, and the Beliarok that had traversed dimensions that Greeza was successfully sealed away. Today was the day Yao Hui was set to depart, and the members of GUTS-Select had enthusiastically organized a farewell party.

On the grass, Kengo watched Z’s receding figure with a knowing smile. He had never imagined that other dimensions existed in this world, let alone that he would fight alongside an Ultra warrior from one of them—the mere thought of it was thrilling. Yuna and Akito stood nearby, smiles on their faces as well, though Yuna seemed somewhat distracted. She was still thinking about the events that had transpired earlier, and the warrior named Darrgon.

Suddenly, Kengo stiffened. Without a sound, the world before his eyes transformed. The grass and the blue sky vanished, replaced by a realm engulfed in flames. The air was thick with a dense, dark aura that weighed upon him so heavily he could barely lift his head. Everywhere he looked, there were three dark warriors unleashing havoc, with the fires of war and smoke filling the horizon. Amidst the haze shrouding the world, he caught sight of another figure.

"Trigger..."

The name surfaced in his mind. Kengo jolted, finally snapping back to reality. The blue sky and white clouds returned, but the three dark warriors remained.

"It’s Carmilla!" Yuna exclaimed, looking at Kengo along with Akito.

Kengo nodded slightly and, without hesitation, drew his GUTS Sparklence to transform. As the towering light dissipated, the form of Trigger appeared before them.

"Trigger, you have finally come."

Watching Trigger emerge, the glint in Carmilla’s eyes shifted from cold and sharp to tender, then to something eerie. Trigger didn't care for her words; he charged forward to engage the three giants. The outcome, however, was clear: he was no match for them. Within a few exchanges, he was beaten to the ground, struggling to stand.

Carmilla grabbed him by the throat, speaking in a language he could not comprehend: "Have you forgotten everything?!"

"You were once so proud, beautiful, and filled with passion!"

Her tone carried a clear sense of frustration, as if he were failing to live up to his potential. But Trigger could not understand; he merely struggled, attempting to break free from her grip. His reward was a punch from Carmilla, filled with hatred.

*Bang!*

Trigger was sent flying, his body carving a trench hundreds of meters long into the ground before crashing into a stack of buildings. It was this very impact that triggered a hallucination—the same scene he had witnessed on the grass, only this time, there was one more giant in his vision.

This giant wore black armor and possessed a fierce gaze; the aura he released was no weaker than that of Carmilla or her companions. And his name was... Trigger!

Trigger felt a shock run through him, his eyes widening. "That giant... is he also called Trigger?!"

"Is Trigger a Dark Giant?!"

"Let me help you remember!" While Trigger was lost in his thoughts, Carmilla delivered another heavy blow, slamming it into him before standing still to chant an incomprehensible dark incantation.

A deep purple light emerged with the spell. Within the radiance, an ancient, circular seal slowly rose into the sky, exploding into a nebula of black energy. The nebula descended, binding Trigger firmly in its center.

"Come back, my Trigger..." Carmilla whispered to herself, her fists clenched tight, her gaze filled with hope and expectation.

Seeing this, Hudram and Darrgon were exceptionally excited. Though three thousand years had passed, they had not forgotten the stature of the Trigger who once was. The three dark giants slowly faded away; there was only one thing left for them to do, and that was to wait.

What they did not know was that everything occurring here had been observed by Tartarus, Tregear, and a third companion. From Tartarus, it was revealed that this companion was named Diavolo, hailing from The Kingdom just like him. Even more startling to Tregear was that Diavolo’s energy fluctuations were also at the level of an Absolute Lifeform.

However, compared to Tartarus, Diavolo was somewhat weaker, only at a Level 6 cosmic scale. As for Tartarus... he was at Level 10! Tregear was shocked once more; when he had last seen Tartarus, the entity was only at Level 9. How could he have reached the threshold between an Absolute Lifeform and a legend so quickly?

Feeling Tregear’s gaze, Tartarus glanced sideways and asked indifferently, "Having been imprisoned there by those three dark giants, you must have heard of the Eternity Core, right?"

Tregear nodded, not denying it. He had indeed heard of it, though that was all—he hadn't even caught a glimpse of it. Furthermore, according to what Carmilla had revealed, opening the gate to the Eternity Core required that girl named Yuzare... or rather, Yuna.

Tregear nodded slightly and spoke, "The Eternity Core—is it truly so powerful that even you are setting your sights on it?"

"Of course," Tartarus replied dismissively. "As far as I know, the Eternity Core is the energy nexus of this dimension. Once possessed, taking the Land of Light will be effortless."

*Still thinking about taking the Land of Light?*

Tregear was speechless. Even he had grown tired of bothering with the Land of Light, yet this fellow still wanted to invade it? Did he truly believe the strength of The Kingdom surpassed what he had commanded, combined with the Plasma Galaxy?

At the mention of the Plasma Galaxy, Tregear couldn't help but think of Bareru and the others... he wondered how they were faring, or if they had already perished in that battle.

"Sigh..." Tregear sighed silently, his heart filled with melancholy.

Truth be told, after experiencing so much, his urge to prove the value of light and darkness was not as intense as it once had been. Even if he had succeeded back then and created the world he desired, what would it matter? Where light shines, darkness will inevitably breed, and in a world shrouded in darkness, there will always be those who harbor light.

Tregear had grown indifferent. Just like Trigger in his vision—who had returned to his dark nature due to the seal, only to merge with the light once more through the strength of his own will. He, too, was a being of both light and dark.
