Consciousness awakened amidst a void of chaos.

What happened?
Am I... not dead yet?

Tregear opened his eyes feebly. He could feel the exhaustion coursing through his body and the hollow void where his power should have been. Yet, he was not dead; he had not been consumed by nothingness as he had anticipated. However, his current state was dire. Not only did he lack the slightest shred of strength, but the energy within him seemed to have been completely drained, leaving him unable to sense even a glimmer of it.

"I suppose that makes sense. To survive at all is a miracle beyond miracles—to expect power on top of that is asking too much." Tregear offered a bitter smile and began to survey his surroundings. He appeared to be in a confined, pitch-black space where nothing could be seen.

Suddenly, the space shuddered. Then, he felt a jolting motion, as if the very space were running. But how could space run? Tregear wanted to investigate, but his body was utterly limp, and the space itself seemed to possess a binding effect that left him completely immobile.

*Perhaps I should try assuming my human form?*

With a flicker of intent, Tregear instantly reverted to his human guise. It was only then that he realized he was not in some abstract space, but inside the body of a robot. He was currently in its cockpit, the control room. Through the visual interface directly in front of him, Misaki—the identity he wore—spotted an Ultra Warrior.

Indeed, an Ultra Warrior! And there was another one, too!

"How is this possible!" Misaki’s eyes widened, his gaze filled with profound disbelief. He had been so confident, so certain that no one could escape the void's consumption—himself included. Yet here he was, alive, and so were the Ultra Warriors. There could only be one explanation.

"King Ultra, Legend... it seems I underestimated you." Misaki’s eyes flickered. After steadying his emotions, he sat silently in the pilot’s seat. He did not recognize these two Ultra Warriors, and judging by the surrounding architecture and environment, this appeared to be Earth. Misaki narrowed his eyes, deciding to observe the situation further before drawing any conclusions. These two Ultra Warriors did not seem to be from the Land of Light, and judging by the fierce clash between them, they appeared to be enemies.

"This is getting interesting." A meaningful, subtle smile curled the corners of Misaki's lips. He had never truly encountered many Ultra Warriors outside of the Land of Light, let alone ones engaged in such hostility. As expected, light and shadow exist everywhere.

Just as Misaki was watching with growing interest, one of the Ultra Warriors launched an attack in his direction.

*Screech—*

The legs of the Satan Delos were pinned to the spot by the strike. Before Misaki could react, another beam of immense power appeared in his vision. The target was him!

"..." Misaki was no longer calm. He had just awakened, barely had a moment to rest, and now he was facing an attack that, while perhaps weak to others, could easily crush his current, fragile state?

Misaki did not hesitate to leap out of the cockpit. Although the beam was relatively weak, if it were to hit him squarely, he would likely lose half his life. With a resounding *boom*, flames erupted into the sky, and the Satan Delos was utterly destroyed. Seeing this, the other Ultra Warrior seemed incensed and began a frantic assault on the one who had fired the shot.

Misaki performed a graceful flip and landed steadily. Though his movements were elegant, his face was deathly pale, and his eyes were bloodshot—a stark contrast that made him look like he might collapse at the slightest breeze.

"Are you okay? You need to leave here!"

A shout came from behind him. Misaki turned instinctively. It was a girl wearing the uniform of the GUTS-Select team. She looked young and—judging by human standards—could be considered a small beauty. Her voice caught the attention of the Ultra Warrior as well. As his gaze shifted toward them, a blue beam of light followed close behind.

"I...!" Misaki felt like cursing. He had just escaped one predicament only to face another? He was truly experiencing the truth of the saying, "When a tiger falls to the flatlands, he is bullied by dogs."

The beam covered a wide area; for his human body, dodging it would be difficult. He would have to withstand it head-on. Misaki raised his hand, a flicker of energy dancing in his palm, ready to be released. But at that moment, a brilliant light suddenly bloomed from the girl who had run toward him.

Within the radiance, her appearance underwent a drastic transformation.

Her attire shifted into flowing, sand-like robes, and her hair turned as white as a snow lotus. She looked as pure and exquisite as an elf. Her pale blue eyes shimmered like crystals, glowing with an intense, brilliant light. With a gentle wave of her hand, a barrier instantly materialized in the air, shielding both her and Misaki firmly beneath it.

Misaki: "..."

However, the trouble was that the Ultra Warrior’s power was too immense; for her alone, trying to block it completely was a struggle.

*Boom—*

The beam exploded, and rolling flames swallowed both Misaki and the girl.

"Yuna!"

Trigger, standing nearby, nearly died of fright. As he cried out, he finally spotted their figures amidst the lingering flames. Though she was uninjured, her aura was significantly weaker than before.

"Hudram!"

Trigger, enraged, instantly switched into his Sky Type. With a roar, he charged forward and unleashed a lethal, rapid-fire strike. Hudram was caught off guard, unable to parry, and could only defend passively. But a furious Trigger gave him no room to breathe, immediately firing his finisher—the Grattor Beam.

*Bang—*

Hudram was forced back hundreds of meters by the beam before vanishing into a thunderous explosion. Seeing him defeated, Ignis, who had been watching from below, had a slight flicker in his gaze. As Maruru had previously noted, he was an alien whose home had long since been destroyed. His people had been wiped out, leaving him the sole survivor. The one who had destroyed his home was none other than Hudram. Ignis knew Hudram would not die so easily, but seeing him suffer was deeply satisfying.

"Trigger, huh? Heh."

Glancing at Trigger from afar, Ignis turned and left the scene.

On the other side, Misaki was already surrounded by the GUTS-Select team. It was not because they had discovered his identity, but because they saw his deathly pale complexion and wanted to take him to the hospital for a check-up. Facing the well-meaning humans, Misaki could not bring himself to smile. He did indeed need to rest, but the last place he intended to go was a hospital.
