Chapter Ninety-Nine: I Experienced Time Travel
Yue Longze’s black, villainous figure was already conspicuous enough, and now, with the nearly unconscious Sars draped across his shoulders, he stood out even more. His arrival immediately drew the attention of the Light Kingdom’s patrol squad.
“Who are you?”
“Stop right there!”
A team of patrolling warriors quickly caught up with Yue Longze and blocked his path.
“Hey, hey, don’t misunderstand! I’m a good guy!” Yue Longze hurriedly explained. “Besides, don’t you remember me? During the massive battle that broke out in the Light Kingdom, I fought alongside you!”
“He does look kind of familiar…” One of the patrol warriors scrutinized Yue Longze, but still remained skeptical.
Yue Longze grew anxious as they continued to hesitate; Sars was in urgent need of medical attention! Below, many residents of the Light Kingdom looked up in surprise, some puzzled, others instantly recognizing Yue Longze.
“It’s that black warrior from last time!”
“Yes, that’s right!”
From the crowd below, someone called out in recognition, quickly echoed by others.
“But what if he’s an alien spy who slipped in…”
Seeing the patrol warriors still reluctant, Yue Longze was both frustrated and helpless. He felt that procrastination was a common flaw among Ultra warriors! So many Ultraman stories featured delays that allowed monsters the opportunity to strike, leading to ambushes or letting the monsters escape.
“Can you stop wasting time? Hurry up and save this kid!” Yue Longze said, and without waiting, he tossed the barely alive Sars to one of the patrol squad’s Ultra warriors.
The warrior quickly reached out and caught Sars. Seeing that Sars was indeed one of their own Ultra warriors and on the verge of death, he nodded at his teammate and immediately took Sars to the Ultra Clinic for emergency treatment.
Yet the remaining patrol warriors continued to regard Yue Longze with caution. In these times, chaos reigned across the universe, and many ill-intentioned cosmic beings had set their sights on the Light Kingdom. There was no helping it—while the Light Kingdom protected the weak, it also made plenty of enemies for itself.
Thus, Yue Longze and the patrol squad hovered in a tense standoff in the sky.
The patrol warriors kept sizing up Yue Longze, uncertain if he was truly the same black warrior from the previous battle. After all, the warrior from last time had vanished without a trace not long after the battle ended. The warriors whispered quietly amongst themselves, nodding as if reaching some kind of agreement.
“Let’s go notify Zo—”
“You all go back to your patrols.”
“Huh?”
Yue Longze and the patrol warriors turned in surprise, only to see an imposing Ultra warrior clad in a striking red cape had appeared beside them without anyone noticing.
“Senior Zoffy!”
Yue Longze recognized the newcomer—it was Zoffy, the captain of the Cosmic Guard. The other patrol warriors were equally astonished, just about to seek out Zoffy when he appeared before them. They offered respectful greetings, and Zoffy nodded courteously. With that, the patrol warriors resumed their duties.
Under the gaze of the onlookers, Yue Longze followed Zoffy, flying to a deserted platform in the distance.
On the platform, bathed in intense light, everything below could be seen clearly.
Yue Longze noticed that the once bustling Ultra Arena was now completely deserted.
“Senior!” Yue Longze called out, his mind full of questions he hoped Zoffy would answer.
But little did Yue Longze know, Zoffy, who appeared calm, was actually wrestling with many doubts of his own. Yet, as a senior, he had to maintain composure before his junior.
“Senior, what exactly is happening right now?” Yue Longze glanced at the empty arena and asked.
Zoffy looked at Yue Longze with a hint of surprise, then explained kindly.
Yue Longze listened carefully to Zoffy’s patient account, finally understanding the current situation.
Now that Joda had been resurrected, monsters and Dark Lops were wreaking havoc across the universe, which Yue Longze already knew. But more importantly, the legendary Kirielode God had appeared in the universe!
This troubled the higher-ups of the Light Kingdom greatly.
Yue Longze was astonished by the news. He recalled the original Diga story, and from the plot, deduced that the Kirielode God’s power was at least equal to that of the evil deity Gatanjeh. Perhaps a bit weaker than Gatanjeh, but certainly not by much.
“So this is the formidable opponent Sars mentioned?” Yue Longze thought to himself.
And it wasn’t just the Kirielode God—Zoffy also informed him of another threat: Zero’s nemesis, Dark Lops Zero!
The strength of Dark Lops Zero far surpassed that of the mass-produced Dark Lops units, equipped with many powerful abilities. Most terrifying was its Dimensional Shatter Cannon, capable of blasting foes into an alternate dimension.
In the previous massive battle that Yue Longze had participated in, Dark Lops Zero had been destroyed by Zero, yet somehow, it had been resurrected again. In fact, during that battle, its revival had already seemed inexplicable to Zero and the others, and now it had happened once more!
Next, even the evil warrior Belial, creator of Dark Lops Zero, had appeared briefly, like a fleeting apparition.
The original Dark Five Lords, the Kirielode God, Dark Lops Zero, the evil warrior Belial, and the most difficult foe of all—Joda!
So many formidable enemies left the Light Kingdom exhausted.
Now, led by the Ultra brothers, the Cosmic Guard had mobilized every member, leaving only Captain Zoffy and a handful of warriors behind to defend the Light Kingdom against unexpected threats.
Yue Longze let out a heavy sigh; the current situation was truly dire.
Any one of these opponents would be hard enough to handle alone, and now they had all appeared at once!
Moreover, it seemed that Zoffy and the others were still unaware that the villainous Alien Reibund had already shown himself in the universe.
Fortunately, he was now imprisoned within Yue Longze’s own body, which at least alleviated some of the pressure on the Light Kingdom.
“By the way, where did you go during your disappearance?” Zoffy asked curiously, a question he had long wanted to ask.
After Yue Longze vanished, they searched across the universe but found no trace of him.
“Senior… I…” Yue Longze scratched his head, forced a bitter smile, and stammered, “I… went on a journey through time and space!”
