“Alright, I’ll figure something out!” 008 had never imagined that the rules it set for itself would one day backfire so badly.

Having no other idea, it returned to the company side, whining pitifully.

The main system sighed helplessly as it watched 008’s pitiful state, then quietly modified its program, adding something new.

“Main system, I really feel useless. There are so many loopholes I don’t even know about, and I need the host to point them out. I’m just too dumb.”

Main system: ...

“It’s okay, this is quite normal. Your predecessor systems have all been perfected little by little. Having loopholes means there’s room for improvement.”

“Hmm, main system is right. I’m just a system baby who still needs constant optimization. Well then, I’m off. Goodbye, main system.” After her little outburst, 008 quickly left.

Main system: ...so... does this count as use and discard?

Snowflakes danced like little winter fairies in the air, Western-style buildings neatly arranged. Mo Qianxun stood expressionlessly before a shop door and knocked.

“Coming, coming.” A robust female voice sounded from inside, and the door in front of her was opened.

Mo Qianxun fell silent as she looked at the woman who answered. The woman wore a puffy medieval Western dress, a white apron tied around her waist, and her hair was tucked under a cap. Her height... two meters.

“Hello, I’m a delivery rider from a food delivery platform. Mr. John Lin ordered a bottle of the Sleeping Potion here. I’m here to pick it up and deliver it to him.” Mo Qianxun appeared calm on the surface, but inside, she felt like dying.

“Oh, little girl, you must be that strange delivery rider. Come in and have a seat first. It’s quite cold outside, and you’re dressed so lightly—you might get sick.” The woman warmly welcomed Mo Qianxun inside.

008: ...Strange? What’s strange about that?

Wearing pajamas, Mo Qianxun froze when she saw the scene inside. What were those hanging on the walls? Various strange tails, and heads?

Seeing Mo Qianxun’s shocked expression, the woman smiled proudly. “How is it? Shocking, right? I not only sell potions but also potion-making materials. If you can think of it, I probably have it.”

“Heh, impressive, really impressive!” Mo Qianxun smiled awkwardly. My goodness, those heads formed a circle around the whole room. They looked terrifying—so grotesque.

“Have a seat. Mr. John Lin’s potion will be ready soon. It won’t take long.”

“No problem, I can wait.” Mo Qianxun casually found a seat and started fiddling with her phone.

The woman returned behind the counter to continue brewing her potion.

Mo Qianxun glared at the “playing dead” 008 on her phone, a look that screamed she wanted to tear 008 limb from limb.

“008, you better give me a perfect explanation, or I’m going on strike.”

Seeing no escape, 008 sat up and spoke directly into Mo Qianxun’s mind: “Host, listen to my explanation. Yesterday, I went back to the company to chat with the main system. It upgraded me ahead of schedule. Now I’m 008, version 2.0.”

“Get to the point!”

“In version 2.0, I was given the errand task feature. So when there’s no order for your world’s food delivery, I can assign you errand tasks in other worlds. Since this is a new feature, the errands are limited to the current world—for example, this Western magical world. The client and the merchant must be from the same world. As I level up, I’ll be able to take errands across worlds.”

Mo Qianxun understood: “I see. So yesterday, you didn’t tell me anything and just gave me a big surprise, right?”

008 chuckled awkwardly: “Well, I came back from the company quite late last night. You were already asleep, so I didn’t want to wake you up. I planned to tell you this morning, but who knew someone would order an errand so early?”

008 was just as helpless. It intended to wait until Mo Qianxun was fully awake to inform her. But she got up as soon as she woke and went to get a drink of water.

Then a teleportation array appeared beneath her feet, bringing her here. It was helpless!

Mo Qianxun shivered as she looked at the woman brewing potion nearby. Just like in cartoons, the potion brewing process really looked like making poison.

“I wonder what’s going on back there. I suddenly disappeared; they must be worried!” Mo Qianxun rested her chin in her hands, gazing into the distance.

008: ...

Back in the modern world, things had indeed gone crazy. Chen Min came to wake Mo Qianxun for training but knocked on the door repeatedly with no response. Realizing something was wrong, Chen Min quickly sent someone for the spare key.

Upon opening the door, the messy bed confirmed someone had slept there last night, but the coldness suggested Mo Qianxun had been gone for some time.

Chen Min went downstairs and asked the guard standing by, “Has Qianxun come out?”

The guard shook his head blankly. “No, I haven’t seen anyone leave.”

“Oh no!” Realizing something might have happened, Chen Min hurried to inform Zhao Jianguo and went to the surveillance room to check the cameras outside Mo Qianxun’s dorm.

Seeing that Mo Qianxun hadn’t left the dorm at all, Chen Min’s expression instantly changed.

When Zhao Jianguo arrived after hearing the news, he immediately knew from Chen Min’s face that the surveillance footage offered no answers.

After watching the footage, Zhao Jianguo’s expression was grave; no one could guess what he was thinking.

“Chen Min, you stay by Qianxun’s dorm. Report immediately if you notice any movement. I suspect Qianxun’s disappearance might be related to that system. Remember, the system said Qianxun can go to other worlds—maybe it happened sooner than expected?”

“Yes!” Although hearing Qianxun might have gone to another world didn’t ease Chen Min’s mind, she took a deep breath.

Another world... she didn’t know if it was dangerous, or if that system could protect Qianxun!

Unlike the chaos at the base, Mo Qianxun was already munching on bread, walking toward the buyer.

Chewing bread and trudging through the snow, she sighed—her points had just dropped by ten.

Because she came dressed in pajamas, Mo Qianxun exchanged points for ten gold coins, spent two gold coins on a warm winter outfit and some gear, exchanged one gold coin for a hundred silver coins, and bought a hard loaf of bread for one silver coin.

“My little electric scooter!”

“Give up, host. Even if your electric scooter came, it can’t be used in this thick snow.”

“Ugh! If you’d told me earlier that it was snowing here, I’d have gotten a sled no matter what.”
