Chapter 131: Liu Hanyue and Cheng Yao

Before long, the Bentley stopped at the villa’s main gate.
The immaculate green lawn and dense landscaping concealed everything except the uppermost level of the villa. The view of the courtyard was completely blocked, providing an exceptional level of privacy.
The garage stood beside the villa, with the entrance right next to it.
“The garage isn’t very big.”
“The open space beside it can be expanded. Our team will design it according to your requirements. How large would you like it to be?”
Cheng Yao smiled. “It should be big enough to park several more cars.”
“That won’t be a problem.” Cai Xiaosheng thumped his chest in assurance.
The landscaping inside was not as tall, but it was beautifully maintained. They walked all the way around the courtyard, passing a barbecue area and a heated swimming pool.
The large garden at the rear was spacious enough to keep several pets.
There was also an open-air dining area, fully equipped with everything one could need. Aside from being troublesome to clean, a huge detached villa like this offered an incredible amount of freedom. Living in one was completely different from living in an ordinary residential compound.
“Is this the largest villa?”
“Yes. Please, come inside.”
Cai Xiaosheng then led them around the unfurnished house, introducing the layout and possible arrangements. “Boss Cheng, we have a dedicated design team, as well as many different styles to choose from, such as modern loft, luxury, American…”
There was only so much to see in an unfurnished house. To be honest, it was not particularly interesting.
What Cheng Yao liked most was the heated swimming pool. In summer, he could throw pool parties whenever he wanted. What could be better?
“Are there any others besides this one?”
“There’s also an American-style villa. Would you like me to show you?”
“Let’s go.”
Cheng Yao had never intended to buy only one. He certainly needed a villa under his own name for the convenience of living there in the future. Otherwise, it would be awkward if the house were still registered under Lu Mengyao’s name when he moved in.
As for Lu Mengyao, he could simply buy another villa for her.
These days, he could afford not only two villas, but even ten.
Under Cai Xiaosheng’s guidance, the Bentley drove to the upper-left section of the development, where quite a few villas were still available.
Cheng Yao turned to Lu Mengyao. “What style do you like? Chinese-Western fusion, American, European…”
“Chinese-Western fusion. The other two styles look rather strange to me. They’re not pleasing to the eye.”
“I think so too.”
Cheng Yao smiled and turned to Cai Xiaosheng. “Let’s not waste any more time. I have somewhere else to be later. Number Six and Number Eighteen…”
Cai Xiaosheng courteously invited them into the car. Once they returned to the sales center, he quickly prepared the contracts.
Customers like Cheng Yao did exist, but there were not many of them. After selling these two villas, Cai Xiaosheng was certain he would be the top salesperson of the year.
Of course, he credited it all to good luck. Not everyone had the opportunity to meet such a wealthy client. He was still so young, yet already extravagantly rich. Truly, people could not be compared; everyone started from a different line.
Some people received a Lamborghini for their eighteenth birthday, while others were overjoyed simply to have a slice of cake.
The Chinese-Western fusion villas were the largest units, each priced at seventy-seven million. The two together cost one hundred and fifty-four million.
Host: Cheng Yao
Appearance: 85
Skill: Folding
Wealth: 682,373,000
Girlfriends: Zhang Ya, Lu Mengyao, Lin Ketong, Mari, Ellie
Items: Blocking Capsule x1, Matchmaker’s Red Thread x2, Best Friend Card (Silver) x1, Advanced Technology Item Fragments x2, Talent Radar x1
Just like that, one hundred and fifty million was gone.
When Lu Mengyao signed the contract, her slender fingers trembled, and the pen visibly shook in her hand.
A villa worth seventy-seven million now belonged to her?
In truth, Lu Mengyao was completely stunned. She had originally come along simply to accompany Cheng Yao while he looked at villas. She had never expected to leave with one of her own.
Cai Xiaosheng naturally treated Cheng Yao like an honored ancestor. He had promised them two Bentleys, worth ten million in total. Of course, everyone knew that this was merely a marketing strategy.

Still, wealthy people enjoyed gestures like that. Offering a discount was nowhere near as impressive as giving away something tangible.
Cheng Yao was secretly rather pleased to have gained another Bentley. After all, he planned to collect luxury cars. It was a man’s romance; otherwise, he would have little to do in his spare time.
As for the interior design and renovation, Cheng Yao did not bother looking elsewhere.
A one-stop service was always the easiest and most convenient option. Whether it saved money did not matter to him.
Cai Xiaosheng bowed repeatedly as he escorted Cheng Yao to the entrance, overflowing with enthusiasm.
Lu Mengyao handed the keys to Cheng Yao. “You drive. I’m afraid something might happen if I do. I still feel as if I’m sleepwalking.”
“Then I’ll drive.”
Cheng Yao opened the door, got in, and drove straight toward Xinjiekou.
His other car was still parked at Yuyong Tower. After reaching Xinjiekou, they stopped for lunch, and in the afternoon he went directly back to school.
At the school gate, he ran into Liu Hanyue and Wang Churuo, who had just returned from lunch.
“Hello.”
“You bought a car?” Wang Churuo asked with a smile. “Boss Cheng, you’re far too low-key. You’re such a big-time businessman, yet you only drive a Mercedes E-Class. Shouldn’t you come to school in a Rolls-Royce?”
“One should keep a low profile. I’m already this handsome. If I show off any more, I’m afraid someone will hit me with a stick from behind.”
“What a show-off.”
Liu Hanyue said, “Don’t listen to him brag. He has a McLaren. I found an old post on the school forum. Someone said he used to drive it here.”
“Really?” Wang Churuo asked in surprise.
They had known Cheng Yao for nearly two months, yet they had not even known that he owned a car. That was far too low-key.
Cheng Yao smiled. “The first time I saw you, someone drove you to school in a Panamera. Was that your father?”
“Yes.”
“Your family must be pretty well-off, then.”
Liu Hanyue said irritably, “Compared with your family, we’re nowhere close.”
Cheng Yao smiled without replying. Even the most basic Panamera cost more than a million. Liu Hanyue’s family probably had at least ten or twenty million in assets.
“By the way, I got an advertisement for colored contact lenses. The fee is pretty good, and it’s in Xinjiekou. Will you accompany me when I go?”
“Let her accompany you,” Wang Churuo said with a mischievous smile. “I’m not going. I have an advertisement too, for children’s toys.”
“Look at you two.”
“Heh heh. You did pay us, after all. We can’t let you lose all your money.”
“Fine. I’ll accompany you when the time comes.”
“Okay.”
To be honest, Liu Hanyue would have felt somewhat embarrassed going alone. With Cheng Yao there, however, she felt much more at ease.
She glanced up at him and thought, He really is tall.
Why does it feel as though he keeps getting taller?
“Cheng Yao, have you grown taller?”
“A little.” Cheng Yao nodded. It might simply have been normal development, but the most likely explanation was that the Gene Capsule had caused it.
“I knew it.”
Liu Hanyue looked away. Without realizing it, the two of them had grown remarkably close to Cheng Yao. In the entire class, they were the only ones who got along with him so naturally.
Several other girls seemed interested in joining them, but something always felt off, and they could never quite become part of the group. Even the class monitor, Zhou Ziqing, was no exception.
“By the way, what happened with Zhu Huiyang?”
Cheng Yao explained the situation with a smile, leaving out the sexual encounter and merely saying that Zhu Huiyang had been deceived.
Liu Hanyue’s willow-shaped brows drew together. “Someone from our school?”
“Yeah. A fourth-year senior. I suppose when the forest grows large enough, every kind of bird will appear. I’m heading back to the dormitory. I’ll probably go play basketball. See you later.”
“With your skills? Forget it.”

“Farewell!”
Only after Cheng Yao had left did Liu Hanyue frown and say, “Isn’t this a bad idea?”
“Hey, bestie, don’t you have any feelings for such a great guy? I’m creating an opportunity for you. I hadn’t even planned on taking this advertisement at first…”
“I feel like things are awkward between us.”
“What’s awkward about it? If you don’t want the opportunity, why not give it to me?”
“Sure…”
Liu Hanyue’s eyes shifted evasively, revealing an indescribable emotion.
Wang Churuo hugged her with a grin. “You can fool anyone but me. You’re clearly pretending not to care while secretly feeling the opposite. I think Cheng Yao probably likes you too. I just don’t understand why he hasn’t made a move.”
“Why don’t you say he likes you too? He’s just a flirt who treats every girl warmly!”
“Wrong. He and I are truly just friends, and I’m certain of that. He doesn’t like me that way. With you, it’s different. Has he ever stroked my hair while sitting behind us?”
Wang Churuo smiled slyly. “He’s practically plucked you bald, so apparently he really hasn’t laid a hand on you. Maybe he thinks your chest is too small and that you wouldn’t be able to feed his future children.”
“I’ll kill you!”
“Ah—hahaha!”
Wang Churuo sighed. Cheng Yao was simply too popular.
Even she lacked the courage to approach him. A boy like that placed too much pressure on girls. She could not understand where those other girls found the courage.
…
…
When Cheng Yao returned to the dormitory, Zhu Huiyang looked at him. “Dad, lend me some money.”
“Good son, stand up first, then we’ll talk.”
“Of course, Dad…”
Wang Wenbo and Zhang Lei burst out laughing. Zhu Huiyang gritted his teeth. “Don’t laugh. You’ll have your turn.”
“Tsk, tsk. When I was in Guangzhou, you two laughed harder than anyone.”
“We’re professionals. We only stop when we genuinely can’t hold it in anymore,” Zhu Huiyang said sarcastically.
“I’ll probably have to rely on you guys to support me for the next two months. Those few rounds completely drained me. Lend me five hundred. I’m going to deliver packages first.”
Cheng Yao laughed helplessly. “You’re not even playing games anymore?”
“Forget games. I’ll go move bricks and earn some money tonight, or I really won’t be able to afford breakfast. I’m leaving.”
Cheng Yao transferred him five hundred. “Come play basketball.”
“Let’s go.”
It was already past the middle of October, and the weather was gradually turning cooler. More and more people were appearing on the basketball court.
Cheng Yao formed a team and brought along some students from Class Two.
Zhou Yikun from Class Two asked, “There’s a campus basketball tournament coming up. Are you joining?”
“I’m not interested,” Wang Wenbo said, shaking his head.
“Why didn’t you ask me?” Cheng Yao asked curiously.
The corner of Zhou Yikun’s mouth twitched. He admitted that Cheng Yao was decent at basketball, especially when it came to stamina, but could he stop committing fouls?
You didn’t grow up watching Slam Dunk. You grew up watching Hot Shot. If you wanted to learn actual technique, you should watch Hot Shot and Kung Fu Dunk. The NBA was merely entertainment.
Cheng Yao was displeased. He seized the ball, drove past his opponent, and finished with a beautiful dunk.
Several girls watching from the sidelines were dazzled. As the campus heartthrob of the School of Economics, Cheng Yao had not only won first place in the campus singing competition, but was also exceptionally handsome. His reputation had spread throughout the school long ago.
