Chapter 102: A Half-Day Disney Outing and a Fitness Enthusiast

Cheng Yao was a little surprised that Cheng Cheng had been willing to help him create an opportunity.
After all, this girl had once set him up. Maybe she had finally had a change of heart.
Once they were ready, they set out. Cheng Cheng glanced at the elevator. “Wrong button, bro.”
“It’s right.”
When the elevator doors opened, Jiang Yuexi said, “Are people in your neighborhood all this rich? A Porsche, wow. What kind of car is that?”
“A McLaren,” Cheng Yao reminded her.
“How do you know?” Cheng Cheng glanced at it; it really was gorgeous.
Cheng Yao took out the key, the headlights flashed twice, and Cheng Cheng and Jiang Yuexi both froze.
“Because I’m the one driving it.”
The two girls were petite, so fitting in the front seat was no problem at all.
On the way, Cheng Yao drove quite steadily. Only when he was alone would he go a little faster; with other people in the car, he kept a constant speed.
Cheng Cheng looked at Cheng Yao, grinding her teeth in irritation and silently cursing him for being such a show-off.
By now she no longer asked about Cheng Yao’s source of income, afraid he might say something that belonged in a criminal statute, and then she would not know what to do.
She also did not want to ask, because Cheng Yao would never harm her.
Jiang Yuexi’s eyes were bright with excitement. It was her first time riding in a sports car. It was a little cramped, but incredibly cool.
“That Porsche over there is yours too?”
“That one isn’t.”
Cheng Yao shook his head. It was Lu Mengyao’s.
By the time they reached the South Station, there were still fifteen minutes left. They hurriedly parked, picked up their tickets, and passed inspection, just making it in time.
“Next time we go out, leave earlier. Stop dawdling.”
“Mm.”
Cheng Cheng and Jiang Yuexi held hands. Their relationship was truly good. “Disney has lines, but Cheng Yao bought us passes, so we don’t have to queue. That’s great.”
“Yeah, it is. Heehee...”
Cheng Yao glanced at Jiang Yuexi and thought the way she said “heehee” was a little odd.
A mentally normal person did not seem likely to use that as a habitual laugh. It was more the kind of thing only someone a little off would say; like a scheming comic-book character, or a girl with the potential to become a yandere.
He was probably overthinking it.
From the South Station to Hongqiao, Cheng Cheng was visiting the great metropolis for the first time. In fact, she had never really gone out to have fun since childhood. Watching her chatter with Jiang Yuexi, snacking and talking all the way, put Cheng Yao at ease.
Jiang Yuexi’s family must have been well off. She had the latest phone and could afford a business-class seat.
Two hours later, they reached Hongqiao, and it was already ten o’clock.
Zhang Ya was already on the road too, with her roommates.
Cheng Yao walked ahead and caught the first train after getting off, still needing to transfer to the subway halfway there.
Half an hour later, Cheng Cheng and Jiang Yuexi were already showing signs of exhaustion, nauseous from all the travel.
Three hours had passed, and they were either riding in a vehicle or on the way to one.

At last they arrived at Disney. People were still being checked at the entrance, and Cheng Yao swept his eyes over the crowd at a glance, immediately spotting Zhang Ya and the others. One was missing—the beauty named Li Yingshan had not come.
“Cheng Yao!”
Zhang Ya ran over with a smile and threw herself into his arms.
Cheng Yao wrapped his arms around her and said with dislike, “Too hot.”
“You’re asking for a beating!” Zhang Ya glared at him fiercely and pinched his weak spot.
I only wanted to give you a sense of occasion, and you call it hot?
Cheng Yao took advantage of the others being focused on Cheng Cheng and leaned in to kiss her.
Zhang Ya shyly smacked him. “You smudged my makeup. Did you buy the tickets?”
“I did. Yours too.”
“I bought yours as well...”
Zhang Ya did not know whether to laugh or cry, and the two of them stared at each other.
Without the pass, each attraction would mean an hour and a half in line. In weather this hot, anyone would go insane.
Cheng Yao laughed helplessly. They should have discussed it first. “Can these be refunded?”
“Yes.”
“Then refund all the tickets you bought and use mine instead.”
“Fine.”
This time Cheng Cheng was fairly polite, greeting each of them as “sister.” Jiang Yuexi stood beside her, tugging at her sleeve, looking a little awkward because she did not know any of them.
She looked at Zhang Ya a few times and was somewhat stunned.
This woman was so beautiful, and her figure so slender, her face so lovely...
To Jiang Yuexi, every part of her seemed perfect.
Cheng Yao asked curiously, “You girls from the music academy, why is one missing today?”
“She has a boyfriend now. A traitor for love; don’t mind her,” Cheng Linlin teased.
Rong Xuelin said enviously, “And he’s a rich second-generation guy too. So jealous.”
“Don’t listen to her nonsense. Her family has money. Why are you all making snide remarks just because she found a boyfriend?” Zhang Ya said unhappily.
Cheng Yao smiled and nodded. For those who could get into a music academy to study the arts, he would not believe they came from poor families even if they said so. They had all been nurtured from childhood.
Rong Xuelin twirled her hair and said, “That leaves only the two of us single ones in the dormitory. If you bring your boyfriends back to the dorm, won’t we be awkward? We strongly oppose it!”
“Don’t worry, we’ll go to a hotel!” Zhang Ya said solemnly.
“Oh, listen to you, all acting serious...”
The group laughed and chatted their way into Disney. After their tickets were checked and they entered the park, they went straight inside.
On Saturdays, Disney was not especially crowded, and with the weather nicer today and not as hot as yesterday, the place was packed. Every attraction had crowds surging around it, which made the pass especially important.
As they passed by, they even heard girls asking, “Why don’t they have to queue?” They were probably first-timers who did not know about the pass.
“That’s not called a pass. It’s called the power of money.”
“Passes are pretty expensive.”
“I remember there used to be an event where you could get one, but that event is gone now...”
The first attraction was Chinese Dragon; the thrill level was only so-so.
The girls had a blast. Cheng Yao felt there was not a single dull moment the whole way, because his current physical condition was strong enough that this bit of weightlessness was utterly no pressure for him.
By afternoon, Cheng Cheng and Jiang Yuexi had gone completely wild. At noon they ate a chicken drumstick that cost eighty yuan, one of the more conscientious things in the park.
The items in the gift shop were outrageously expensive; a stuffed doll cost over five hundred...
By a little after five in the afternoon, the girls’ brains were starting to ache from all the fun.
Especially Cheng Cheng and Jiang Yuexi, who were already slumped in their chairs and did not want to move, looking as useless as could be.
Cheng Linlin glanced at Cheng Yao, then said softly to Zhang Ya, “Your boyfriend is really something. His physical condition is amazing. You’re in for a good life.”
“?”
Zhang Ya was a little confused, then asked with a smile, “Cheng Yao, have you been working out lately?”
Without hesitation, Cheng Yao lifted his shirt, revealing his six-pack abs, which left the nearby girls staring in shock.
“Pretty handsome, right?”
“Y-you—put it away, quickly!” Zhang Ya was completely thrown off, and immediately looked around, mortified.
Such a perfect chance to show off, and if I don’t show off now, when will I?
Cheng Yao nodded slightly and said with a grin, “Fine. I’ll only show you from now on.”
“I don’t want to see it!”
Zhang Ya’s face turned bright red, though it really did look quite nice.
“Six-pack abs, for real? Are you wearing fake abs or something? Let me have a good look!” Cheng Linlin felt this was a bit absurd.
Rong Xuelin was also somewhat startled, feeling that Zhang Ya’s boyfriend always seemed to produce surprises.
Cheng Yao pulled his shirt back down. “The next time you see me, maybe it’ll be an eight-pack.”
“Impressive, impressive.”
Zhang Ya praised him without holding back. “There’s still fireworks tonight. Do you want to watch?”
“No!”
“I don’t want to watch either. I want to get out of here!” Cheng Cheng truly could not take it anymore.
Rong Xuelin said with a smile, “Then let’s head back. How about grabbing something to eat at Shang Shang Qian?”
“Sure.”
