Chapter 120: Sisters... Forever Together
Page 1/3
For someone like Zhang Lei, it was normal for an online romance to die the moment they met in person. Those online romances boasting godlike looks are just marketing ploys, yet some people foolishly believe them. Because you can’t see someone’s appearance online, illusions grow even stronger.
Loneliness drives people to seek solace online, comforting each other. But when fantasy confronts reality, dreams must end.
Zhang Lei wasn’t the type to be overly affectionate online; in the dorm, you could hear him complaining every day, especially recently. As for the girl, she was probably sweet; otherwise, he wouldn’t have come to Guangzhou with such high hopes. The ending was tragic.
Cheng Yao offered a few words of comfort, but Zhang Lei remained fairly strong, forcing a smile.
After passing through the ticket gate into the amusement park, Zhang Lei headed straight for the roller coaster and drop tower, resolute and without a hint of hesitation.
“Is he alright?” someone asked.
“At most, a little disappointed. Not going to the hotel is actually better; if he had gone, I’m afraid he would have completely broken down.”
“How weird. At least they should have video-called to confirm before coming.”
“Well, the girl has to be willing too.”
Chimelong Water Park’s roller coaster is quite famous — crowned the King of Roller Coasters worldwide, featuring a vertical coaster, a Guinness World Record ten-loop coaster, and an industry gold award-winning motorbike coaster, among others.
Seeking thrills there was effective.
Without a fast pass and with so many people, Cheng Yao, Liu Hanyue, and the others could only line up patiently, eating ice cream under the scorching sun. Compared to Disneyland’s milder rides, this park was more exhilarating, but Disneyland offers the advantage of buying time with money.
Liu Hanyue and Wang Churuo screamed in fright, while Cheng Yao laughed heartily behind them without a shred of fear.
The feeling of weightlessness was plenty, but such rides were a breeze for his physical fitness and had no real effect on him.
The enhancement from the gene capsules had greatly boosted his heart’s endurance.
After one roller coaster ride, Liu Hanyue’s legs turned weak.
“My head hurts; I need to rest. You guys go on ahead…”
She began making excuses but was eventually dragged back onto the ride. When the coaster stopped high above, her big Caslan eyes were filled with terror as she quietly closed them and waited for the end.
Stubborn as she was, she never cried out, silently enduring pressures and fears no one her age should bear.
Zhang Lei channeled his grief into energy and fully enjoyed the rides, trying to forget.
“Are they looking at me?” he became unusually sensitive, feeling as if everyone around was mocking him. Earlier, many people crowded around him in the restroom; his online romance had died upon meeting, leaving him embarrassed and wanting to hide.
Cheng Yao snapped, “You’re overthinking. They’re looking at me.”
“Alright then…” Zhang Lei sighed in relief.
Normally, he would have scolded Cheng Yao for pretending, but now he wished all eyes were on him.
Wang Wenbo whispered, “Tonight, I’ll take you to find a ‘dragon’. Want to come?”
“A dragon… really exists?”
“Of course.”
“Okay!”
The two secretly agreed on their little plan and tried to rope in Zhu Huiyang as well, preparing to find a “dragon.”
Wang Wenbo asked with a smile, “Are you coming?”
“I actually have something to do. You guys go ahead, but remember to be careful…”
Cheng Yao politely declined. It wasn’t pretentiousness; he genuinely didn’t need it, and now he had developed a cleanliness obsession—he didn’t want to touch things others had touched.
He also reminded them because he didn’t want any of them to catch something and cause awkward trouble for the school and teachers.
Having fun was fine, but safety mattered — not everyone had his “anti-disaster” tricks.
Still, he thought his worries were excessive. Wang Wenbo wasn’t short of money and would probably go to some upscale wellness club charging at least a couple thousand yuan a night, maybe more.
Such clubs were generally safe.
They had a simple fast-food lunch in the amusement park. By afternoon, Wang Churuo and Liu Hanyue were exhausted.

Not only the two delicate girls but even Wang Wenbo and the others had sore legs, vowing to get foot massages and leg rubs that night.
As for which leg, Cheng Yao remained clueless.
He took a sip of soda, the icy cold fizz uplifting his spirits. Nothing beats a carbonated drink on a hot day.
He sent messages to the two sisters but got no reply. Could they be standing him up?
Cheng Yao thought, finally at two in the afternoon, they replied saying they had just gotten up.
Understandable — on days off, Lu Mengyao and Lin Ketong also slept in late.
Confirming the meeting place, Cheng Yao held a small hope.
In fact, his current state was both the same and different from Zhang Lei’s before — he was calm and not nervous.
He wasn’t in an online romance, just meeting to hang out.
If they clicked, great; if not, they’d part ways and each find their own path.
Time flew to four in the afternoon.
Seven hours, four rides.
Lines were so long they made him nauseous. Cheng Yao squinted and said, “From now on, no more amusement parks on weekends or holidays. It’s disgusting.”
“Yeah, every ride has a line, queueing for an hour and a half to ride for a minute. Might as well stroll downtown and find something to eat.”
Liu Hanyue joined in the complaints. “No more rides. Let’s go out.”
“Let’s go. I have an appointment,” Cheng Yao said.
Groups of tired visitors headed for the exit, their faces etched with exhaustion — the usual amusement park scene.
Outside, Liu Hanyue glanced at Cheng Yao. “You’re leaving?”
“Bye. Call me if anything. I might stay in Guangzhou tomorrow…”
Wang Churuo couldn’t help but say, “Cheng Yao, this is so boring.”
“Wang Churuo, aren’t you going bungee jumping? We’ll come too, early tomorrow, then fly back in the afternoon…” Wang Wenbo shouted.
Liu Hanyue thought about it and nodded reluctantly, “Let’s discuss again.”
“Alright.”
“Let’s go.”
They took the subway together. After parting ways, Cheng Yao hailed a cab, heading straight for the Tianhe commercial district.
On the ride, he pondered.
If the two sisters were compatible, how should he express his thoughts?
He considered this because the sisters had mentioned in the game that they wanted to marry the same person.
Cheng Yao thought, isn’t that just looking for a sugar daddy?
Marriage was impossible and illegal, but supporting them financially was an option.
Without that comment, he wouldn’t have come all the way to Guangzhou.
For now, Tianhe North was the most bustling area in Guangzhou. Famous pedestrian streets like Yanjing Road, Shangxiajiu, and around the Tianhe Sports Center were nearby.
The seafood buffet they agreed on was near the financial tower by the Pearl River, with a view of the Pearl River Tower.
Walking, Cheng Yao felt the Pearl River area resembled Shanghai’s Bund, but less bustling, lacking the overwhelming aura of a first-tier city.
By comparison, it fell short by a wide margin.
Tall, handsome, and refined by the beauty and gene capsules, plus physical training, he looked like a star with masculine charm.
Walking, several beautiful women glanced his way.
“Hey handsome, are you alone?” two stylishly dressed women greeted him with smiles.
Seeing Cheng Yao walking by, the two took courage to strike up a conversation.
He shook his head politely, “I’m meeting someone, sorry.”
“No problem, no problem…” they smiled, nodded, then waved goodbye.
“Wow, so stylish. Why isn’t he my boyfriend?”
“Ugly people have big dreams, haha…”
Cheng Yao checked the time; the meeting was nearly due. The other party had sent a message — they were inside a tea shop.
It seemed to be just across the street.
Page 3/3
He took a detour and entered the tea shop opposite. Inside, he saw a pair of twin sisters sipping fruit tea.
The elder sister looked up — an oval face framed by long hair, wearing a dress. She glanced at Cheng Yao, then quickly looked at her phone and whispered something to her sister.
The younger sister quickly raised her head, looking surprised to see Cheng Yao, smiling and waving hello.
Clearly, the first impression was good.
Name: Ouyang Zhenli
Appearance: 85
Figure: 77
Special traits: 92
Name: Ouyang Aili
Appearance: 85
Figure: 77
Special traits: 92
Cheng Yao studied them. They truly were twins, with matching stats. The surname Ouyang was rare.
He had a bold thought, unsure if he should voice it.
If he married the elder sister, would it be like marrying the younger one too?
Their faces weren’t as exaggerated as in photos—beauty filters gave whitening effects. Girls as pale as Lin Ketong were rare, but these two were very pretty, the kind who could be both beautiful and cute.
They wore thin dresses revealing snow-white shoulders and collarbones.
To put that in perspective, Lu Mengyao’s appearance score was also 85 — already higher than 99% of people worldwide.
“Good evening.”
“Good evening! You’re so handsome!” Ouyang Aili smiled brightly at Cheng Yao.
He smiled back, nodding. “Thank you. You’re both very pretty. You’re Aili, right?”
“Wrong, I’m Zhenli,” Aili teased, wagging her finger.
“Don’t lie. Zhenli isn’t this lively.”
Cheng Yao teased back, glancing at the quieter Zhenli.
Zhenli smiled shyly, looking gentle.
Aili raised an eyebrow and hugged Zhenli. “Ah, you guessed right! Here’s your reward!”
“Thank you.”
Cheng Yao took the strawberry-flavored fruit tea, inserted the straw, and took a sip. “Let’s go eat, the buffet we talked about.”
“Mm-hmm.”
“Sis, let’s go.”
The sisters linked hands as they walked ahead, chatting and laughing softly, occasionally glancing back at Cheng Yao.
He put his hands in his pockets and blinked.
“Do your parents often live abroad and not come back?”
Cheng Yao remembered the sisters were renting and studying here. They’d probably have to return to their island country after graduation. Wouldn’t it be better to stay in China?
“Will you go back after graduation?”
“We’ll see. It’s too early to say…” Aili blinked, appraising Cheng Yao.
Cheng Yao smiled. So basically, they planned not to return if they found a sugar daddy.
He was considering how to bring it up.
