Chapter 33: She Only Shows Ruthlessness Toward Others

Feng Xi rolled her eyes and continued, “I can take you to the Demon Realm, but forget about that so-called demonic energy entering my body!
“You don’t need to bargain with me anymore. Whether in the past or in the future, I’m the only one capable of bringing in an item from the Demon Realm that can conceal you!
“You dragged me in here because I was carrying a Blood Demon Clan token, didn’t you?”
Feng Xi had already begun to suspect as much when she saw those demonic plants. After hearing what the mist said, she became even more certain.
The mist grew flustered. “H-How did you know?”
Feng Xi ignored it.
The mist suddenly swelled, enveloping both Feng Xi and Jun Wen.
It moved incredibly fast; Jun Wen did not even have time to react.
In the blink of an eye, the mist transformed into a small black sphere with a pair of tiny horns growing from its head.
It sneered. “You think you can fight me? As long as I see your inner demons, I’ll have a way to make you submit.”
As it spoke, it “saw” Jun Wen’s inner demon.
A sect robe speckled with mud, a flying sword stained with the tiniest trace of blood, bed sheets dusted with a little ash…
The little black sphere fell silent.
What kind of inner demon was this supposed to be?!
Forget it. This one was only an extra burden and was of no use anyway—a complete waste of space!
It would look at that rotten girl instead!
With that thought, it went to “observe” Feng Xi’s inner demon.
It saw Feng Xi holding something resembling a cup, a straw stuck into it, leisurely sipping away.
As if sensing something, she raised her head.
“Hey, this is an illusion you created for me, right? It’s pretty fun. Hold on a little longer and let me finish this cup of milk tea, okay?”
The little black sphere fainted from sheer rage.
Feng Xi and Jun Wen also “awoke.”
Feng Xi was rather regretful. She still had half a cup of milk tea left!
Seeing the unconscious black sphere, Feng Xi kicked it away, sending it straight onto the thorns of a Bloodthirsty Thorn.
Jun Wen could even hear the pfft, pfft, pfft of air leaking out.
How pitiful!
At that moment, the little black sphere woke up as well and angrily spat out a long string of words that Feng Xi and Jun Wen could not understand.
Still, both of them knew it was definitely cursing them viciously.
Feng Xi was beginning to lose patience. She said irritably, “I don’t have time to waste with you. If you want to get out of here and want me to take you to the Demon Realm, then sign a master-servant contract with me and work for me from now on!
“If you refuse, you can stay here and fend for yourself!”
The black sphere’s voice rose sharply. “You want me to sign a contract with you? Don’t you have a mirror at home? How can you be so shameless?!”

Feng Xi let out a cold laugh. “I’ll ask you one last time. Are you agreeing or not? If you refuse, I’ll destroy the Blood Demon Clan token right now and cut off your last hope!”
As she spoke, Feng Xi took out the Blood Demon Clan token.
“I’ll count to three. One, two…”
The black sphere panicked.
“I’ll sign! I’ll sign, all right?!”
Feng Xi curled her lips. “You should have agreed sooner. How do we sign? Do I need to snap off your horns?”
The black sphere fell silent.
Just listen to yourself! Is that something a human being would say?!
You don’t want to sign a contract with me. You want to tear me limb from limb!
Grinding its teeth, the black sphere said, “Once I form the contract seal, all you need to do is drip your blood onto it.”
As soon as it finished speaking, tiny black bolts of lightning appeared between its two little horns. They gradually formed a pattern covered in intricate markings.
Feng Xi found the pattern somewhat familiar. It seemed identical to the design on the jade tablet that opened the Celestial Scar Secret Realm.
Lost in thought, Feng Xi closed her eyes and cut her finger.
Why close her eyes? Because she could not bring herself to do it with them open!
That was her own flesh, after all!
Feng Xi had always been ruthless toward others, but when it came to herself, she was… exceptionally softhearted.
When a bead of blood appeared on her finger, she walked over to the black sphere. Instead of dripping it onto the seal, she suddenly asked, “Is this really the kind of master-servant contract I described? I’m the master, and you’re the servant? You’re not trying to trick me, are you?”
The black sphere’s tiny eyes flickered.
Feng Xi promptly kicked it away.
You think you can fool me?
I’m the ancestor of all liars!
The black sphere was both furious and exasperated. “I was born at the beginning of Heaven and Earth. You aren’t qualified to sign a master-servant contract with me. Even if I were willing, the Heavenly Dao would never allow such a contract to be established.
“That’s why I have to sign an equal contract with you. What’s wrong with that?
“Besides, there isn’t much difference between a master-servant contract and an equal contract. The only difference is that if you die, I won’t die with you—but my spiritual consciousness will still suffer severe damage.
“So you don’t need to worry that I’ll betray you because of this.
“Sign it if you want. If not, forget it. At worst, I simply won’t go to the Demon Realm!”
Feng Xi stared at it. “If there’s nothing shameful about it, why didn’t you say so earlier? You obviously have some ulterior motive!”
The black sphere fell silent.
It had merely wanted to irritate Feng Xi after the contract was completed and show off that it had tricked her.
Unfortunately, it had failed.
Feng Xi asked Jun Wen, “Fifth Senior Brother, is the equal contract really as it described?”
Jun Wen answered somewhat blankly, “Yes. Aside from the fact that the spiritual pet won’t die when its master dies, it’s no different from an ordinary master-servant contract. You can also punish it with your spiritual consciousness.”

He thought to himself that if it had been him, he would have signed immediately. He certainly would not have been as vigilant as his junior sister.
It seemed he would have to learn from her properly in the future.
Only after receiving confirmation did Feng Xi sign an equal contract with the black sphere.
The instant the contract was completed, dark clouds gathered outside the secret realm, and three tribulation bolts descended, striking the Celestial Scar Secret Realm.
Xiao Baidao and the others were utterly shocked!
Could some high-level demon beast inside the secret realm be undergoing a tribulation? Or had some priceless treasure appeared?
Baili Muchen was practically green with envy!
If some treasure really had appeared, there would certainly be no share for the Primordial Unity Sect, because not a single disciple of the sect remained inside the secret realm.
Shen Zhilan’s fingernails dug into her palms, yet she did not feel the slightest pain. She was unwilling to accept this!
If not for Feng Xi, this opportunity would definitely have been hers!
Her eyes flickered as she said to Baili Muchen, “Master, I’m going to check on Second Senior Brother.”
Baili Muchen responded absentmindedly.
Inside the secret realm, Feng Xi—the very person Shen Zhilan resented—was giving the little black sphere a name.
“You were born from chaos, and you’re a sphere, so you’ll be called… Chaos Ball!”
The little black sphere fell silent.
You’re the chaos ball! Your entire sect is full of chaos balls!
It declared that it would rather die than accept the name and insisted that she choose another.
Feng Xi therefore listed more than a dozen names and let it pick one for itself:
Second Dog, Third Donkey, Two-Fifty, Little Fool, Little Idiot…
In the end, the little black sphere somehow decided that “Chaos Ball” was actually a fairly decent name and resigned itself to it.
“Chaos Ball, the human heart is treacherous outside. I’m afraid you’ll be deceived, so hand over all the treasures you’ve collected and let me keep them safe for you!”
The little black sphere was speechless.
The most treacherous person of all is you!
“Apart from the spiritual plants and demon beasts inside the secret realm, I have no other treasures. You’ve seen it yourself—I’m just a mass of mist. I don’t even have anywhere to hide anything.”
Although Feng Xi was skeptical of this explanation, it had only just entered into a contract with her, so she did not want to pressure it too much and let the matter drop.
She had the little black sphere attach itself to the Blood Demon Token.
“You’re something that must not be seen by others, so stay obediently attached to the Blood Demon Token. Unless I call for you, pretend you’re dead.”
The little black sphere fell silent.
If I could turn back time, I would rather have died of old age inside the secret realm.
Still, good people do not live long, while calamities endure for centuries. Following a master who is wicked and shameless is better than following one who is a rotten saint.
