Chapter 114: The Heavenly Sword Talisman (Please Vote)
Li Changqing and Lan Qiqi were both sharp-witted. They realized in an instant that this demon intended to toy with them. If they denied their relationship, it would likely strike them down immediately.
"Of course we're a couple," Lan Qiqi said hurriedly, shooting a glance at Li Changqing.
Li Changqing nodded repeatedly and said, "Um, darling, I will never forget you. You would surely be willing to sacrifice yourself for me, wouldn't you?"
Finally, entering the familiar script, a smile appeared on Qu Bingbing's face.
Lan Qiqi blinked her large eyes: "Daddy of our child, what are you thinking? The baby is still nursing. If I die, what will become of the child? Surely you would be willing to sacrifice yourself for the child and me, right?"
*Daddy of our child?*
Li Changqing was stunned. Damn it, this girl was even more ruthless than he was.
"Fine."
Li Changqing spoke to Qu Bingbing, "You don't need to do it yourself. I'll handle it."
With that, he grabbed his own throat and squeezed with all his might. Seeing this, even Qu Bingbing was touched by their love; it could see that the strength in Li Changqing’s hands was genuine—he was truly trying to strangle himself.
What a pity. Once he died, it would still kill the woman he loved so dearly.
"You..."
Lan Qiqi was taken aback. Seeing Li Changqing genuinely attempting to throttle himself, she was shocked. *Could this guy really be planning to sacrifice himself?*
No, based on what she knew of him, he wasn't that noble.
Suddenly, the aura surrounding Li Changqing shifted.
"Lightning and fire, blaze and strike, Southern Fire Lord. Flying poisons across the vastness, shaking the eight directions. True talisman take form, manifest the spirit now. Obey this command with haste!"
He flicked his wrist, and eight incantation talismans formed a ball of fire, instantly blocking the path between them and Qu Bingbing.
"What are you standing there for? Run!"
Li Changqing grabbed Lan Qiqi’s hand and bolted toward the depths of the forest. At this moment, having shifted into his zombie form, his speed and strength were far beyond what they had been before. Lan Qiqi was a frail witch and couldn't keep up with his pace at all.
Li Changqing frowned, snatched her up, threw her over his shoulder, and sprinted away.
Lan Qiqi breathed a sigh of relief. "I thought you were going to abandon me," she said.
"If it catches up and there's truly no way to escape, I'll toss you to it. You can hold it off for me for a while," Li Changqing replied.
"Shameless! You want me, a woman, to block it for you..."
"In the face of survival, everyone is equal."

Even while carrying someone, Li Changqing maneuvered through the forest with ease, moving at great speed. Lan Qiqi looked back and saw Qu Bingbing following them through the woods, unhurried and steady. Even though Li Changqing was running with all his might, he could not shake her off.
"Faster, go faster!" Lan Qiqi shouted while rummaging through her backpack on Li Changqing’s bumpy shoulder. Finally, she pulled out a bottle filled with a red liquid. Muttering an ancient, obscure incantation, she hurled the bottle with all her strength.
In mid-air, the bottle let out a whistle and transformed into a large red net, pouncing toward Qu Bingbing. In an instant, the net ensnared the demon. The red mesh radiated intense heat, and Qu Bingbing’s corpse was instantly melted away by the net.
Li Changqing couldn't help but glance back, thinking to himself, *She had something this terrifying in her backpack?*
After the corpse was dissolved, a wisp of black smoke drifted up and then pursued the pair at high speed, moving even faster than before. The black smoke quickly cut off Li Changqing’s path.
Panting heavily, Li Changqing came to a halt. He stared at the black smoke before him, his expression grave. *Is this what a demon is?*
"Alright, I've had enough fun with you two." The black smoke sprouted two blood-red eyes, staring at them with amusement.
Li Changqing set Lan Qiqi down. He took a deep breath, secretly clutching several incantation talismans in his hand.
"This is a Bi Demon," Lan Qiqi said in a low voice. "A type of demon that can burrow into a human body and manipulate it. It needs to possess a host to exert its greatest demonic power. When it isn't controlling a body, it's at its weakest."
Li Changqing understood her meaning. Escape was clearly impossible; they had no choice but to fight for their lives.
"Help me stall it for a moment!"
Li Changqing finished speaking and hurriedly grabbed paper, brushes, and ink from his belongings. Incantation talismans alone wouldn't be enough to deal with this Bi Demon.
*Heavenly Sword Talisman or God-Speed Talisman?*
Li Changqing made a lightning-fast decision in his mind. He chose the Heavenly Sword Talisman.
He took a deep breath and calmed his heart. Even with the Bi Demon looming nearby and exerting immense pressure, he forced his spirit to become completely tranquil. In such a perilous situation, he actually entered a state of focus more composed and steady than he had ever achieved before. If he failed, it would be certain death. Many people would panic in the face of danger, but Li Changqing had one advantage: the more dangerous the situation, the calmer he became.
Panic is useless; it changes nothing. Only calmness offers a hope of survival.
He lifted his brush swiftly.
Lan Qiqi watched as Li Changqing crouched on the ground and began to draw a talisman. *This is last-minute preparation...*
It was truly last-minute—like two armies locked in battle, with the enemy already charging at the front lines, only for someone to decide it was time to forge a weapon. But Lan Qiqi could only choose to trust him.
She looked at the various potions in her bag—precious items she had spent a long time painstakingly gathering rare materials to concoct. She felt a pang of heartache, but grit her teeth and, without hesitation, grabbed the vials and hurled them at the Bi Demon one by one.
However, none of them could harm the creature. The Bi Demon dodged the potions with ease. It no longer wanted to waste time; it still had others to hunt.
The Bi Demon emanated a thick, dense demonic aura, surging toward Lan Qiqi and Li Changqing. Lan Qiqi hurriedly pulled out a vial and smashed it on the ground; the potion instantly formed a green barrier, shielding the two of them inside.
*Bang...*
A deafening sound echoed. Countless tendrils of demonic energy wrapped around the green barrier, and cracks began to appear on its surface. It showed signs of shattering at any moment.
"Li Changqing!" Lan Qiqi looked up at the fracturing barrier and called out in panic.
"It's done!"
Li Changqing finished the final stroke. The talisman was complete.
"Yin and Yang follow, the Dao becomes the sword. Split the heavens and shatter the earth. Obey this command with haste!"
The Heavenly Sword Talisman in his grip erupted with a dazzling golden light, transforming into a four-foot-long divine sword of golden radiance. The mere formation of the Heavenly Sword Talisman had nearly drained two-thirds of Li Changqing’s spiritual power and zombie essence.
In an instant, the green barrier could no longer hold; it shattered into countless fragments, and the demonic aura surged toward them.
