Chapter 4: Stimulation
Chen Su had always kept a lamp on when she slept. Under the bedside light at that moment, Gu Bai Nan’s features looked even deeper than they did in daylight.
And even more heart-stirring.
He let go of the hand covering her mouth, lifted the blanket, and lowered his head to examine the wound on her knee.
“How did this happen?”
In an instant, the moisture that had dried at the corners of Chen Su’s eyes welled up again.
She was wronged to the point of tears, yet still forced herself to resist the urge to burrow into Gu Bai Nan’s arms.
She shoved his hand away. “The white moonlight you keep hidden in your heart has just come back to the country. Why aren’t you off陪ing her? Instead you come looking for me, your little sister. Aren’t you afraid she’ll be jealous?”
Once there were no outsiders around, the wildness Chen Su had once let out in front of Gu Bai Nan was laid bare at once.
She could not even be bothered to keep up the act.
Gu Bai Nan looked at the jealousy on the woman’s clean, delicate face and found it endearing.
He rose and walked out.
Chen Su had only said that in a fit of pique; she had not expected Gu Bai Nan to actually turn and leave.
“Gu Bai Nan!”
She gritted her teeth in fury. “You bastard!”
Still not satisfied after cursing him, Chen Su snatched the pillow beside her and hurled it toward the doorway, only for it to strike Gu Bai Nan just as he came back in carrying a first-aid kit.
He picked up the pillow and sat down by the bed. “If you don’t want to be unable to get out of bed tomorrow, then stop moving around.”
He set down the kit, bent down, and took Chen Su by the ankle to tend to her wound.
Chen Su not only refused to cooperate, but instead, through the thin shirt, planted her bare foot on his chest.
Little by little, she used the tip of her toe to tilt up his chin.
Gu Bai Nan’s Adam’s apple moved. He caught her ankle. “Chen Su.”
Whenever Gu Bai Nan was angry, he would call her by her full name.
“Did you take your medicine last night?”
Chen Su had already been furious over what happened in the day. Now, hearing him mention medicine, she instantly bristled.
She shoved his hand away, rose, and straddled his lap. Her warm lips brushed his ear. “What, are you worried I might be pregnant? Then you should have thought of that and not slept with me four years ago.”
Her fingers slipped beneath his shirt, and in just a few motions she could feel Gu Bai Nan reacting.
“Tsk.” She shook her head. “Big brother, you really are disappointing.”
Gu Bai Nan caught her restless hand, his voice hoarse. “That night I was drugged. I’m a normal man. With you in my bed, it’s hard for me to do nothing.”
At first, he could have endured it.
But Chen Su had, by some wicked twist of fate, appeared in his bed in the middle of the night.
She knew nothing about the drugging. Like on any other rainy night, she simply curled into his arms again and again because she was afraid of thunder.
From that moment on, everything was completely thrown off course.
The relationship between the two of them had drifted entirely beyond the tracks.
What Gu Bai Nan did not know was that Chen Su had deliberately appeared in his room that night.
“That was an accident. But what about after that?”
Chen Su caught his belt and gave it a light flick. “Don’t tell me your reaction now is an accident too.”
With her soft, fragrant body in his arms, skin touching skin and sending a rush through Gu Bai Nan’s nerves, his throat rolled again.
He seized her wrist, pulled off his tie, and bound it to the headboard.
Then he sealed her lips with a kiss.
Before Chen Su could even struggle, she was already helplessly sinking into his tenderness.
Gu Bai Nan propped himself up and gently brushed the temple of her hair. “Behave. Otherwise it’ll be easy to leave a scar, hmm?”
He picked up the first-aid kit and helped her treat the wound.
Because she was tied up, Chen Su could only lie flat on the bed. One knee was lifted by Gu Bai Nan, and from her angle she could see the way he bent his head.
Countless late nights of the past seemed to reappear before her eyes.
Their breaths intertwined, their closeness almost beyond separation.
And yet now, though they were so near, it felt as if a galaxy stretched between them.
She turned her face away, her voice trembling slightly. “Gu Bai Nan, if you don’t like me, then don’t be so good to me.”
I’ll take it seriously.
Gu Bai Nan’s hands paused over the wound. He was just about to speak when footsteps suddenly sounded outside.
“Su Su?” Mrs. Gu suddenly knocked on the door. “Are you asleep?”
