Song Mingyu sat among the many students, standing out conspicuously.

Spotting Chen Su, he raised his hand to signal, “SuSu! Over here!”

Since the airport incident a few days ago, when Chen Su crashed into his car and then disappeared, Song Mingyu had been unable to reach her. So early that morning, he came to the school and inquired about her classes, hoping for a chance encounter—and unexpectedly, he actually found her.

Chen Su was in a bad mood and barely responded to him. She simply found a seat and sat down.

Until the mid-morning break, Chen Su hadn’t said a word.

Song Mingyu felt a little uneasy. “SuSu, are you still upset because your brother didn’t side with you yesterday?”

Song Mingyu had a filter in his mind because of Chen Su’s looks and never thought she was obsessed with her brother. Naturally, he didn’t suspect anything about their relationship.

“No,” Chen Su replied flatly, not wanting to engage further. She stood up. “I’m going to the restroom.”

After Chen Su left, Zhao Qian, a classmate, signaled to two other students nearby. The group then followed her.

Inside the restroom.

Chen Su had just lit a cigarette when the door was forcefully kicked open.

Zhao Qian, accompanied by three other students, blocked Chen Su’s path.

Chen Su narrowed her eyes and flicked the ash from her cigarette. “What do you want?”

Smack—

Without hesitation, Zhao Qian slapped Chen Su across the face, full of fury. “Chen Su, be smart and stay away from Mingyu! He’s mine!”

Zhao Qian and Song Mingyu had graduated from the same high school. She had secretly admired him for a long time but had never confessed. Chen Su was her one and only rival.

The cigarette fell from Chen Su’s hand, rolling on the floor before resting at Zhao Qian’s feet.

Crimson sparks scattered with tiny red dots.

Perhaps too focused on her warning, Zhao Qian didn’t notice that Chen Su—the famously well-behaved girl—was smoking in the restroom.

Chen Su sneered and touched her cheek. “It’s been a long time since anyone dared to be this reckless with me.”

From Chen Su’s innocent, pure eyes, Zhao Qian glimpsed a trace of deadly intent.

But unwilling to lose face, Zhao Qian retorted stubbornly, “Don’t pretend to be all sweet and innocent! Let me tell you, don’t even dream of using that pure look to seduce Mingyu. Otherwise, I’ll make your life miserable!”

Chen Su appeared obedient on the surface and never argued with others.

Zhao Qian chose to trouble her precisely because of that—after all, one always picks the softest target.

What she didn’t know was that when someone is truly unlucky, even drinking water can get stuck between their teeth.

An hour later, at the school infirmary.

Qu Bainam pushed open the infirmary door and immediately saw Chen Su sitting on the sofa, hugging her knees with a look of innocence.

On the three beds nearby lay three female students with varying injuries.

Zhao Qian was one of them.

With a stern expression, he approached and asked, “Are you hurt?”

Chen Su remained silent.

Qu Bainam examined her thoroughly and noticed her cheek was reddened, clearly showing signs of being struck.

He cast a cold glance at Zhao Qian. “Did you bully her?”

Zhao Qian was so frightened she nearly lost her soul on the spot. She pointed to her arm in a cast and sobbed, “I only slapped her, but she broke my arm and beat my face like this. I’m clearly more badly hurt!”

“Me too!” a girl in the bed next to her complained, “She broke my ribs.”

“And me, my nose just got fixed and now it’s crooked!” another added.

They all took turns accusing Chen Su.

Just then, the doctor walked in. “What’s all this noise?”

The doctor showed no patience for troublemakers like Zhao Qian. “Four of you gang up on one girl and then turn it around on her? Chen Su is a model student with good grades and a gentle personality. How could she have beaten you all like this?”

Zhao Qian was terrified. “I’m telling the truth! You can check the surveillance!”

“Exactly! Her sweetness is all fake! She’s a liar!”

“She’s a demon! When she hit me, it was like slaughtering a pig! If other students hadn’t arrived, I think she would have gouged my eyes out!”

The doctor was already skeptical of their accusations.

Then he looked at Chen Su’s innocent face and the case was clear.

“Enough with the slander,” he frowned in displeasure. “There’s no surveillance in the restroom. Do you really want to drag a good student down with you?”

Zhao Qian and the others exchanged helpless glances.

“I’m the one who hit her,” Chen Su suddenly spoke up, looking at Zhao Qian. “You can sue me, throw me in jail if you want.”
