Yali High School Training Building, fourth floor—exclusive training area for faculty and staff.
Inside the Tiangong-model T800 Soul Chamber, the training system’s cold, feminine voice echoed.
“Ten minutes have elapsed; usage time concluded.”
“Current soul assessment subject: Shi Yu.”
“Assessment result: Level 12.”
“Detailed parameters are as follows:...”
A comprehensive data report appeared on the chamber’s display screen, lines of text scrolling swiftly.
This test report was immediately uploaded to the school’s information database for archival.
Lin Zhenfeng, the account owner who enabled Shi Yu’s temporary access, soon received the related notification.
With excitement, he opened Shi Yu’s soul test report—and instantly froze.
Lin Zhenfeng’s eyelids twitched repeatedly as he reread the document over and over.
After a long moment, he exhaled deeply.
“How is it exactly?” Yu Guochuan glanced sideways, sounding annoyed. “Why do you look so stunned? You’re a seasoned teacher now; you should remain composed.”
Hearing this, Lin Zhenfeng turned to look at Old Yu, his gaze seeming to say, “See for yourself.”
Without another word, he forwarded the electronic version of the report.
Then, he subtly lifted his chin, signaling Yu Guochuan to review it himself.
Yu Guochuan shook his head as he opened the document and said, “Old Lin, let me tell you, as teachers, no matter what happens, we must remain as steady as...”
His words abruptly stopped.
His hand trembled slightly while holding the phone.
“Th-this, this...”
Usually eloquent and fluent in speeches, Yu Guochuan was now stammering.
Lin Zhenfeng’s emotions gradually steadied.
He patted Yu Guochuan’s shoulder compassionately. “Old Yu, stay calm when things happen.”
“I-I...”
Yu Guochuan suddenly stood up, pacing hurriedly back and forth.
He shakily pulled out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket, about to light one to calm his nerves, but then remembered smoking was forbidden inside the building and cursed silently.
“What arrangements does the school plan for this situation?”
“Surely there was some contingency plan before?” Lin Zhenfeng asked, looking at the visibly shaken dean of discipline.

“There is definitely a plan,” Yu Guochuan inhaled deeply and waved his hand abruptly, “but...”
At that moment, the soul chamber beeped as it opened. Both men fell silent and turned toward the door.
Shi Yu rose from the chamber and stepped out steadily.
Raising his head, he met two broad-faced men beaming warmly, standing very close with enthusiastic smiles.
Shi Yu was startled; just moments ago, he had been melancholic over parting with the Great Sage, his emotions still unsettled.
“Teacher Yu, what brings you here?”
“Ha ha, at a time like this, I must be here!”
Yu Guochuan slightly lifted his chin, looking at the handsome Shi Yu with eyes full of admiration, as if beholding a rare treasure.
“Very good. I thought you were excellent even back in your first year.”
“I remember you even received recognition for an act of bravery, didn’t you?”
Shi Yu rubbed his head bashfully. “That was years ago—it’s all in the past now.”
Yu Guochuan nodded. “Hmm, good, good.”
“Outstanding aptitude, upright character—definitely worth cultivating carefully!”
“As for your soul level, I imagine you saw it inside the chamber earlier,” Yu Guochuan considered before continuing, “I believe that besides the regular elite class training, you’ll also participate in some special training courses designed for exceptional talents.”
“These courses will be scheduled during the summer vacation, so I’m giving you a heads-up now.”
Shi Yu readily agreed.
He understood clearly that his current display of talent would attract the school’s high attention.
He was well aware of the constant pressure of the college entrance exams at school.
If he could shine spectacularly in the exams, it would be beneficial both for himself and the school—a win-win scenario.
“You should return to the classroom to rest first. Lin and I have some matters to discuss.”
As Shi Yu left, Yu Guochuan shook his hand warmly and sincerely.
...
“Old Yu, this special training course you mentioned—is it that summer intensive class jointly organized by the Municipal Education Bureau and Central South University?” Lin Zhenfeng mused.
Yu Guochuan nodded. “Certainly. Those two months during the second-year summer can’t be wasted. With Shi Yu’s aptitude, his cultivation progress will be rapid.”
He reviewed the report again, then closed his eyes as if thinking deeply.
After a moment, he turned to Lin Zhenfeng. “Is Shi Yu’s family background not very good?”
Lin Zhenfeng pondered. “From what I know, Shi Yu’s parents passed away long ago. He was raised by his aunt. Besides him, there’s a younger sister.”
“And his uncle?”
“The uncle, like Shi Yu’s parents, also died—over ten years ago in that massive catastrophe when the Dark Realm invaded Star City.”

Yu Guochuan fell silent for a while, then sighed heavily. “Many lives were lost that time.”
He continued, “On the martial path, aptitude, resources, opportunities, and environment—none can be lacking.”
“Especially resources. Without substantial financial backing, the martial road is difficult to sustain long-term.”
Lin Zhenfeng nodded in deep agreement.
The notion that the poor study literature while the rich practice martial arts is no empty saying.
“Shi Yu possesses such talent; we must find ways to help him grow quickly.”
“If his family cannot provide more support, then our school should shoulder as much as possible, within our means.”
Yu Guochuan said, “I will report this to Principal Zhu promptly and suggest convening a special meeting to discuss Shi Yu’s development plan in detail.”
“Our vision must be long-term—not just focusing on Star City, not limited to Nanhu Province, but extending across the entire Greater Xia.”
...
Shi Yu stepped out of the elevator and gazed upon the vast, boundless azure sky, a swell of emotions rising in his heart.
This very afternoon, within a short span, his life trajectory had undergone earth-shattering change.
This transformation was no less than when he first transmigrated to this Blue Star world.
Twelve years ago, upon arrival, he faced a life-or-death crisis.
It was his aunt—original owner of this world—who risked everything to rescue him from the ruins.
At that time, the original owner was just five years old and had already passed away, allowing Shi Yu to cross over.
Over the years, all the burdens of the household fell on his aunt’s shoulders. Shi Yu had long regarded her and his little sister as true family.
Now, with his soul aptitude revealed, if he seized this opportunity well, he could help ease his aunt’s burdens. His little sister, too, could receive better nurturing.
As Shi Yu pondered, a vast voice echoed deep within his soul.
“Contracted Divine Demon Spirit—Clever Stone Monkey—awarded title.”
“Title: The Handsome Monkey King.”
“Host achievement: Legacy of the King.”
“Evolution points: +10.”
“Host’s evolution points: 18/100.”
“Achievement reward: Glory of the King.”
“Instructions: This is a spiritual power originating from the Divine Demon, which, when activated, releases an intangible pressure capable of intimidating enemies’ minds while awakening the host’s own potential to enhance combat power.”
Shi Yu contemplated carefully, his brow raised. Could this be the legendary aura of a king’s dominance?
